Polaris” The 177' Polaris was converted to a private yacht in 2007. This 52-meter superyacht has a rich history, and now begins her new life as a circumnavigable private yacht with unlimited potential.

The owner of The Lurssen yacht for 13+ years has recently sailed her to the shipyard to install a 680 HP DEUTZ MWM TBD V12 as a main engine. The asking price with engine upgrades would be $549,000 (with standard inspection). Value of a new MWM V12 is approx $180,000 USD.

Polaris has the engine bays, shafts, stern tubes and propellers already installed for 3 main engines which upon installation would give her 43.5 knots (as she originally had 3 engines and normally achieved this speed)

She is now in excellent mechanical condition with much new gear. Two additional engine bays are available that, if installed, would permit a top speed of 42 kts.

A very long range fuel tank makes this a global-capable cruiser. There is a large helipad area on top deck and has an extensive equipment list includes water makers, 3 Gensets, radar, chart plotter, auto pilot, tenders, life rafts, and much more....
